Next Steps in Lace Knitting-January 26th, 2-4:30

  • For knitters who have successfully worked one or two lace patterns, this class focuses on building lace knitting confidence and skills.
  • We’ll talk about more advanced stitchwork like double yarnovers, nupps and faggoting stitches, and knitted-on borders.
  • We’ll work a small sampler in the class, and I’ll share tips on preventing mistakes, and demonstrate how to fix them without unravelling! And we’ll spend some time on answering frequently asked questions, and trouble-shooting.
  • Skill level: intermediate; knitters should have some lace experience
  • length: 2.5 hours
  • Materials required: 4-5mm/US # 6-8 needles – straight or short circular, light-coloured medium weight scrap yarn, and any lace pattern you’d like to work, any project or pattern you have questions about.
