The long and the short of it is … winter edition

This is a straightforward sweater pattern with some basic short row shaping to create the asymmetrical hem. Made it with an uber soft yarn to make simply spectacular! The sample was made with the heavenly Garnstudio Drops Air, but any aran weight yarn can be used. I recommend something soft and drapey. Juniper Moon Farms “Cumulus” would be a great cotton alternative.

Celtic Touch

This pattern starts with the “belt”. Then the stitches are picked up along the edges and the sweater and the “skirt” are knit out from there.

Very simple cable techniques are used. They make this sweater look as if it requires much more effort than it actually does.

The upper part of the sweater is more fitted with only a couple inches ease. The “skirt” is much roomier.

Espalier

This is a unique garment in the sense that it looks like entrelac but is actually woven. The sizing is very easy to change, up or down, by just adding/subtracting 5” to the length. I got approx. 10” of knitting 140m. I have added lots of pictures to make the techniques easier to follow.
