Learn the 5 basic stitches of crochet and how to read basic patterns.
Project 1: Learning Swatch…work a rectangle of crocheted fabric; you could use the end result as a kitchen cloth.
Project 2: Random Row Learning Cowl…work a long rectangle of crocheted fabric using a random row game to vary the stitches you use and sew the two short ends together to make a cowl.
Materials: Worsted weight cotton yarn(included) and a range of hooks from 5mm to 6.5mm.
If you wish to do a cowl with your new skills you will need 250 yards of DK (#3) weight yarn. Several crochet hooks ranging from size 4mm to 5.5mm.
